The TERRASource Advantage

There’s good reason why TERRASource Geothermal systems are industry-best.  One-hundred percent of our attention is focused on ensuring our geothermal systems continuously out-perform and out-class other vendors who simply “dabble” in our industry.  At TERRASource, we live and breath geothermal systems – it’s all we do!  Here are some of the top competitive advantages TERRASource offers you.

TERRASource Commercial Geothermal Systems

Common commercial geothermal applications include: churches, banks, schools, car washes, ice rinks, swimming pools, restaurants, and anywhere heating, cooling and hot water is required. The biggest benefit of a TERRASource commercial geothermal system is that they use 25%–50% less electricity than conventional heating or cooling systems. This translates into a geothermal heat pump using one unit of electricity to move three units of heat from the earth.According to the EPA, commercial geothermal systems can reduce energy consumption—and corresponding emissions—up to 44% compared to air-source heat pumps and up to 72% compared to electric resistance heating with standard air-conditioning equipment.

TERRASource commercial geothermal systems also improve humidity control by maintaining about 50% relative indoor humidity, making commercial geothermal systems very effective in humid areas. Overall external building aesthetics are improved by eliminating outdoor equipment and additional space is gained in scenarios where a boiler and supporting equipment are eliminated. And because TERRASource commercial geothermal systems do not have an outside condensing unit, there’s no concern about noise or vandalism/theft.

Because commercial geothermal systems have relatively few moving parts, and because those parts are sheltered inside a building, they are durable and highly reliable. The underground piping is often good for 25–50 years, and the heat pumps often last 20 years or more.More and more commercial geothermal applications are being done throughout the United States simply for the economic and financial gain they provide.
